Senior Cloud Software Engineer | Java, Google Cloud | Logistic (f/m/d)

Join our enthusiastic logistics team "Beluga" and ensure that furniture and other bulky items offered on otto.de are delivered to the desired location and assembled as requested. On the way to the Otto platform, we are redefining the way for managing and distributing bulky goods with a greenfield approach. As OTTO is the largest online furniture retailer on the German market, we have a lot to do and are therefore looking for reinforcement for our cross-functional team. If you enjoy working in an agile way along to a team full of friendly and humorous colleagues, then you've come to the right place.

Your challenge with us
  • As a Software engineer you support in the whole Product Development Lifecycle.
  • You design and develop high quality software in pairs according to TDD and with CI/CD, you bring your changes live every day.
  • "You build it, you run it!" sounds great for you.
  • Connect with team members and beyond to ensure projects are completed to OTTO standards.
  • You love to share your knowledge and experience between the team and in the OTTO community.

What you bring

Must-have:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid knowledge in Java, cloud-computing and design patterns
  • Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills
  • Infrastructure as Code, Pair Programming und Clean Code are your passions
  • Good in English

Nice-to-have:

  • Good experience with distributed event driven systems
  • Familiar with our Tech Stack
